Fundación Naturgy has launched 'Sumando Energías', an educational project in Valencia aimed at raising children's awareness about the importance of energy transition and sustainability.

This solidarity initiative, part of the future-oriented reconstruction efforts after the DANA, is structured around four key pillars: People, Employment, Environment, and Education. The project places a special emphasis on the educational aspect, considering that today's students will be tomorrow's decision-makers in energy matters.
To achieve this, 'Sumando Energías' gathers testimonies from directors and teachers of various Valencian educational centers, who share their experiences with programs such as Efigy Schools or Efigy Girls. Additionally, it includes the installation of solar panels in some schools and the implementation of classroom workshops to introduce energy concepts to students, fostering sustainability, equal opportunities, and the involvement of the entire educational community.

We always talk about the future of energy and the adult makes the decisions, but that future will be the present of these boys and girls who are now in early childhood and primary education schools.

The project is also part of Naturgy's strategy to promote initiatives that contribute to mitigating the effects of climate change and fostering the energy transition towards a carbon-neutral economy. The '#BuenaHuella' initiative, led by Naturgy, brings together the country's main communication groups in a sustainable communication project, measuring, reducing, and neutralizing CO2 emissions from all content.
In the case of this project, the emissions generated during its execution, which took place in April 2026, have been quantified at 3217.20 kg of CO2 equivalent. These emissions have been neutralized, and measures have been taken to minimize environmental impact, such as using local production teams in Valencia to reduce travel and utilizing natural light in workspaces.
