The Societat Musical Lira Saguntina will perform this Saturday, April 11, at València's Palau de la Música with a charity zarzuela concert, with proceeds going to the MAIDES Foundation.

The Orchestra of the Societat Musical Lira Saguntina will take the stage of the José Iturbi hall at València's Palau de la Música at 7:00 PM. This musical event, featuring a repertoire focused on zarzuela, will include the participation of lyric singer Carmen Bosó, musician Javier Bovea, and other guest soloists.
The concert has a charitable purpose, as all funds raised will be entirely donated to the MAIDES Foundation, an entity dedicated to assisting people with mental health issues. This performance represents an opportunity for the Saguntine ensemble to showcase its talent outside its municipality, in a prominent venue like the Valencian auditorium, and in a collaborative format that brings together various musical groups.
Beyond the cultural event, the Societat Musical Lira Saguntina recently held its general assembly, where José Manuel Tarazona was re-elected president, thus continuing to lead the project. During the session, the incorporation of new members to the Board of Directors was also approved, who will work to strengthen the entity in its musical, educational, cultural, economic, and social spheres.
Another unanimous agreement was the request to the Sagunt City Council to dedicate a street, square, or relevant public space to the Societat Musical Lira Saguntina. The entity believes that this recognition would highlight the trajectory of an institution that, since its founding in 1908, has played a key role in promoting music and musical education in the city, in addition to contributing to social cohesion.
