The Councilor for Fallas and president of the JCF, Santiago Ballester, communicated this decision at the Assembly of Presidents, arguing that mojito stands generate problems that affect the image of the Fallas and the fallas commissions. At the same meeting, he thanked the collaboration of the commissions and the volunteer staff of the JCF in organizing the events.
Furthermore, Ballester reported that the mascletà suspended in March due to adverse weather will be held as a night mascletà on May 2nd at 9:00 PM, coinciding with Mother's Day. The JCF is also working on improvements for the Ninot collection, scheduled for March 14th and 15th, and for the Ofrenda, which in 2026 saw the participation of 123,578 people.
Regarding municipal subsidies, the deadline to justify the remaining aid opened on March 20th and ends on May 5th. The councilor urged commissions to meet deadlines to expedite payment. He also highlighted the improvement of pyrotechnic displays and announced that the Fallas Edict working group will meet in July, with the forecast that tent assembly for 2027 will begin on March 11th.
At the assembly, several commissions requested a review of delays in prize collection and the Ofrenda, as well as considering alternative schedules. In response, Ballester indicated that orchestras will be permitted on March 13th, 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th, 2027. Regarding the Crida, he noted that it is an open event and public participation cannot be restricted.
Finally, the councilor explained that next November will mark the tenth anniversary of the declaration of Fallas as Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, and the monitoring commission will be convened to prepare commemorative events.
