Compromís has brought the demand of families from El Romeral CEIP in Alcoy to Les Corts Valencianes to recover the third infant classroom for 3-year-olds, which has been suppressed for the upcoming academic year.

The political party has registered a Non-Binding Motion (PNL) to urge the Conselleria of Education to explain the reasons for the suppression of this educational unit. The decision affects 19 families and could have consequences for public schooling in the city. The deputy mayor of Alcoy, Àlex Cerradelo, along with representatives from the AMPA and affected families, traveled to the parliamentary headquarters to defend the request.
During the visit, they held a meeting with Compromís deputy Gerard Fullana, who showed the party's support and criticized the Conselleria's decision. Compromís will promote various parliamentary initiatives, including written questions, to try to get the Valencian government to reconsider the closure of this unit.
The families and the AMPA describe the situation as "distressing" and denounce the Conselleria's lack of response to their requests for information and meetings. They consider the decision detrimental to public education in Alcoy and demand that the third infant classroom at El Romeral CEIP be maintained.
Compromís believes that bringing the case to the Valencian Parliament will give visibility to the conflict and compel the Generalitat to provide explanations.
