On Saturday, April 11, at 7 PM, the Torrent stage will host 'GlamourTango, el tango en piel de mujer' (GlamourTango, Tango in a Woman's Skin), a multimedia production that pays tribute to the female figure through music and dance. This show, created in 2008 by Uruguayan pianist and director Polly Ferman, features an entirely female cast, including an instrumental quintet, a singer, and four dancers.
The 'GlamourTango' proposal goes beyond the artistic, also seeking an educational and motivational component, highlighting the role of women in a genre where they have historically been little recognized. After being performed on stages in New York and Buenos Aires, it arrives in Torrent to celebrate the women who have contributed to tango since its beginnings.
The second cultural event will be on Monday, April 13, also at 7 PM, with the company Ron Lalá and their show '4x4'. This theatrical group, founded in 1996, is known for its fusion of theater, humor, and live music, with a critical and satirical style that addresses current affairs and classic works.
'4x4' offers an essential retrospective of the four shows that consolidated Ron Lalá's style between 2005 and 2012: 'Mi misterio del interior', 'Mundo y final', 'Time al tiempo', and 'Siglo de Oro, siglo de ahora'. With a simple and direct staging, the company invites the audience on a theatrical and musical journey that showcases their creative evolution.
