The Generalitat faces a temporary change in weather with rain and a temperature drop inland, before the return of summer heat next week.

After weeks marked by intense heat, the Valencian Community will experience a brief meteorological change. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a yellow alert for this Sunday in the interior of the province of Valencia between 1:00 PM and 10:00 PM.
The forecast predicts storms that could be accompanied by strong wind gusts and even hail. In some areas, up to 20 liters per square meter of precipitation per hour is not ruled out. Throughout the day, skies will be mostly clear or with little cloud cover in much of the territory, but from midday onwards, cloudiness will increase in the inland regions, raising the probability of torrential showers.
Regarding temperatures, minimums will barely change, while maximums will drop in the interior of Valencia. On the Valencian coast, they might even rise slightly. The situation will normalize on Monday, with stable weather, clear skies, and very warm conditions, approaching 35 degrees in many Valencian municipalities.
The forecast for Tuesday maintains a similar situation, with the possibility of developing storms in the northern interior of the Valencian Community, especially around Montanejos. Temperatures will remain stable, with a slight increase in maximums in the province of Valencia.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, intermittent clouds and the possibility of isolated storms are expected in the interior of the northern third. Temperatures will remain stable, with potential localized drops in some inland areas and on the central coast. It all points to this period of instability being a brief pause before the heat intensifies again during the first week of July, with readings potentially nearing 40 degrees.
