The Terra de Festes program, a production by À Punt and the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FVMP), offers a journey this Friday through the most deeply rooted celebrations of the Valencian Community, visiting Sant Vicent del Raspeig, Figueroles, and Alberic.

The broadcast, scheduled for 10:45 PM on Valencian television, will focus on the patron saint festivities and the Moors and Christians of Sant Vicent del Raspeig. This municipality intensely celebrates its festivals in honor of Sant Vicent Ferrer, combining religious acts with the spectacle of the comparsas. With 20 comparsas and over 4,500 participants, it is one of the most significant events in the town.
Presenter Berta Báidez will speak with various festival protagonists, including the captains and child standard-bearers, who experience these days with special excitement. Meanwhile, reporter Ernesto Peretó will delve into the Festa de la Flor, an event full of music and color with the traditional distribution of carnations through the streets, and will attend the grand Christian Entry, one of the most anticipated parades.
The program will also travel to Figueroles, which commemorates 300 years of history with a day combining tradition and collective memory. Representative festivals such as those of Cristo or Sant Mateu will be reviewed, featuring the unique Plantà de l'arc made with fruits and vegetables. The central point will be the Festa del Reservat, with a procession through streets decorated with flowers and traditional 'tauletes,' small altars where the route stops. The day will culminate with tricentenial acts, including institutional tributes, the inauguration of a street dedicated to the first mayor, and the creation of a time capsule.
Finally, Alberic will showcase one of its most unique celebrations: the Lettuce Contest, a unique tradition combining history and popular participation. During the ascent to the hermitage of Santa Bàrbara, local associations sell lettuces for charitable purposes. The day will continue with events such as the band festival, "l'Apuntà" of saints —key to the organization of Holy Week— and the Sorteig dels Sants, which determines which families will guard the images the following year.
With this new installment, Terra de Festes once again highlights the festive and cultural richness of the Valencian Community, showcasing the diversity of celebrations that keep the identity of its towns alive.
