Following the success of its first edition, the festival returns with an expanded program and new spaces open to the public. The proposal invites viewers to look at ceramics from a different perspective, understanding it as a living process that connects with earth and clay, as well as its transformations up to the final materiality of porcelain.
The cycle will begin on Friday, May 15, exploring symbols and essences with Liliana Díaz and her Arcano XVII at ESCAL. Afterwards, Liliana Díaz and Cynthia Fusillo will create connections with the power of Intercambio de Remedios in a performance at plaça la Sang.
On Saturday, May 16, the Reial Fàbrica de l'Alcora will once again be the heart of the cycle, a place rich in memory reactivated through contemporary art. The day will be dedicated to ceramic action art with exceptional artists. It will start with the importance of contact and reflection with He loves me, he loves me not by Noemi Iglesias Barrios.
International artists Christine Coste, Claire Bossé, and Gilles Constant, from France, will then offer a journey to an unknown land with Passagères Souterraines. To conclude, the audience will experience the creative process of Ángel Igual and Antonio Pérez Requena with transformative fire in their Dansa del Foc.
This initiative is made possible by the collaboration of the L'Alcora City Council, Caixa Rural de l'Alcora, the Ceramics Museum, and ESCAL, promoting contemporary ceramic art in the province. Terra Ceràmica invites attendees to pause, observe, and experience matter and time in a new way, rediscovering a territory deeply linked to ceramics through a contemporary lens.
