Metrovalencia and TRAM d'Alacant Exceed 11.9 Million Passengers in March

Public transport in the Valencian Community records a significant increase in users, with Metrovalencia leading the growth.

Metrovalencia and TRAM d'Alacant, managed by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV), transported a total of 11,919,283 passengers during March, highlighting a 14% increase in the Valencia network.

In detail, Metrovalencia registered 10.38 million users across its six metro lines and four tram lines, representing a 14% increase compared to the same month in 2025, when the railway network was partially affected by reconstruction works. Meanwhile, TRAM d'Alacant moved 1.5 million passengers.
The days with the highest influx were March 18 for Metrovalencia, the eve of San José and Fallas, with 464,875 travelers, and March 31 for TRAM d'Alacant, with 68,004 users. The most used Metrovalencia line was Line 3 (Rafelbunyol/Aeroport) with 1,995,181 customers, followed by Line 5 (Marítim/Aeroport) with 1,664,442.
Regarding stations, Xàtiva (L3, L5, and L9) was the busiest with 729,379 movements, followed by Colón (L3, L5, L7, and L9) with 574,203 and Àngel Guimerà (L1, L2, L3, L5, and L9) with 460,004 movements. For trams, Line 4 (Mas del Rosari-Doctor Lluch) recorded the most journeys with 749,958.
The TRAM de Castelló, for its part, registered 293,823 users in March 2026, carrying out 9,607 expeditions. In TRAM d'Alacant, Line 2 (Luceros-San Vicent del Raspeig) was the most used with 597,196 movements, although the Alicante network experienced a slight decrease of 2.49% compared to March 2025.
