The judge investigating the public housing (VPP) adjudications at the Las Naus residential complex, in Playa de San Juan, has ordered the National Police to appear at Alicante City Council to request pending documentation.

The magistrate made this decision in an order issued this Friday, due to the council's lack of response to two judicial requests made on May 12 and 21, as reported by the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV). The National Police unit attached to the Alicante courts will have to appear at the municipal legal services department.
The objective is to "identify" the responsible party and require them to submit the requested documents "within the non-extendable period of five calendar days." The order details that, in case of further non-compliance, the head of the legal services would incur a disobedience offense, as stipulated in Article 556 of the Penal Code.
