The decision was announced during the ordinary plenary session on Thursday, April 25, after the Local Government Board (JGL) approved the segregation of the plot in the property registry. This step is fundamental to formalize the transfer to the Conselleria.
“"It has been a complex process, because all the plot's access roads were not registered at the time. We have been battling with this for a long time."
The plot, registered in 1982, had irregularities in its inscription, as the roads and ravine had not been properly segregated. This situation has created difficulties that required considerable effort for its regularization.
“"What would have been a simple procedure in 1982 has now become a headache."
Once the registrar registers the segregated plot, the matter will have to go through the municipal plenary session again to definitively approve the transfer in favor of the Generalitat. This action responds to a request from the Conselleria and will consolidate Jijona as a strategic point for the prevention and extinction of forest fires in the province.
