The Burriana City Council will invest 236,830.41 euros in the 2026 Agricultural Employment Promotion Program, an increased allocation from the previous year to hire personnel for rural improvement and public space projects.

This investment will result in the hiring of workers for the execution of improvement projects in the rural environment and public spaces of the capital of La Plana Baixa. Municipal technical services are currently working on drafting the four reports that will define this year's actions.
Among the planned projects are the conditioning and cleaning of rural roads, with special attention to Camí Santa Pau and Caminàs. Interventions are also foreseen in the surroundings of Torre Carabona and the Huertos de Ocio (Leisure Gardens), as well as the painting of various municipal dependencies.
The program contemplates the hiring of laborers, skilled workers, and supervisors, with durations ranging from one and a half to two months, depending on the final configuration of the projects. In this way, the council seeks to balance the duration of contracts with the number of beneficiaries to meet the demand for seasonal employment in the agricultural sector.

"Our objective is for every euro of this subsidy to become an employment opportunity. Therefore, after observing that last year some official positions remained vacant due to a lack of candidates, this year we have adjusted the structure of the reports to prioritize profiles with greater availability, thus ensuring that all offered positions are filled."

the Councilor for Active Employment Policies
The Councilor for Active Employment Policies emphasized that these initiatives, in addition to generating employability for residents, contribute to conditioning Burriana's public spaces and improving the maintenance of our rural environment, which directly benefits all citizens.
