The City of Arts and Sciences (CACSA) has warned the concessionaire Umbracle that it must comply with the judicial ruling on acoustic contamination and the fundamental rights of residents.

This warning follows a sentence issued by the Contentious-Administrative Section of the Valencia Court of First Instance, which upholds a lawsuit filed by several residents. The resolution declares that the Valencia City Council violated fundamental rights to privacy and moral integrity, recognized in articles 18 and 15 of the Spanish Constitution.
The ruling, dated March 24, 2026, establishes that the city council must take necessary measures to definitively prevent the violation of these rights. This includes, if necessary, the revocation of authorizations or the relocation of events or activities that generate excessive noise.

"Considering that an execution incident regarding the scope of the sentence is currently pending resolution, I inform you that any musical activity on the L'Umbracle Terrace that implies non-compliance with acoustic pollution regulations and violates the fundamental rights of residents must be suspended."

Furthermore, CACSA has requested the regional police to conduct successive patrols in the City of Arts and Sciences area to verify that Umbracle complies with the noise levels required by municipal ordinances. This action aims to ensure respect for regulations and neighborhood coexistence.
CACSA's communication also refers to municipal resolutions MG-293, dated March 31, 2026, and MG-383, dated April 23, 2026, which reiterate the need for immediate cessation of any activity in the venue that violates the ruling. The entity reaffirms its commitment to complying with judicial and administrative resolutions, as well as protecting fundamental rights.
