The Alicante-based club, Hércules CF, has made the contract renewal of footballer Roger Colomina official, which will now extend until June 2029. This decision comes despite Colomina being unable to play until the start of the next campaign due to a serious knee injury. The club has highlighted its commitment to keeping a "pillar of the project".
This is the second time Colomina has extended his contract with the club since his arrival in 2023. The previous renewal, agreed upon two summers ago, tied him until June 2028. The 28-year-old player from Sabadell has played 86 official matches for the team.
Colomina, who developed in Cornellà's youth academy and previously played for CF Villanovense and CF Badalona, joined Hércules from SCR Peña Deportiva. With the blue and white club, he has achieved promotion to Primera Federación and two consecutive seasons maintaining their place in that league.
Three months ago, Colomina suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, an injury that required surgery and from which he is currently recovering.
