After confirming the new coach, Elche CF resumes its sports planning for the next season, focusing on the case of defender Víctor Chust.

With the hiring of Martín Anselmi as the new coach, Elche CF is now turning its attention to other sports planning matters for LaLiga EA Sports 2026/27. One of the notable cases is that of Víctor Chust, a player who is part of the club's plans, but his continuity depends on the agreed price.
The Valencian defender has played on loan this 2025/26 season with Elche, with a purchase option from Cádiz CF that expires at the end of the month for just over 1.5 million euros. The player has already been informed that he is counted on, but the club aims to renegotiate the agreement with the rights-owning club, Cádiz, which has a contract with Chust until June 2028.
Chust, 26 years old and ambidextrous, developed in Real Madrid's youth academy, has participated in 31 matches this season, scoring a crucial goal for his team's survival. The player has expressed his desire to remain linked to the club, and both the club and the player have an agreement on future contractual conditions. The problem lies in the need for a third party to make it happen.
Elche's management believes that Chust has met expectations, securing a regular place in the starting lineup. He has played 2,165 minutes and started in 56% of the matches. Under Anselmi, his role in initiating play will remain important, although the Italian-Argentine coach shares this function more with the midfielders.
Elche is certain that Chust cannot be transferred before June 30th, but it needs Cádiz's willingness to renegotiate the transfer fee. The intention is for Chust to continue wearing the 'franjiverde' jersey and not move to play in yellow or for another club, given his performance.
