Today, Tuesday, June 23, Alicante celebrates its Hogueras festival with a packed schedule of events, including the fifth mascletà of the contest, the Dansà d'Alacant, and an International Folklore Parade.

The city of Alicante is already immersed in its Hogueras festivities, with monuments illuminating the streets and the scent of gunpowder as a protagonist. This Tuesday's day begins with the delivery of the Flower Offering at the Mercadito de Fogueres at 12:00 PM, followed by the Colla de Nanos i Gegants at 1:00 PM.
Gunpowder will return to the spotlight at 2:00 PM in the Plaza de los Luceros with the fifth mascletà of this year's contest. This event follows yesterday's display, which was highly applauded by attendees.
In the afternoon, at 6:00 PM, the Dansà d'Alacant will take place around the official Hoguera. The event will feature performances by the dance groups Cresol and Postiguet, as well as the Colla federal from the Federació de Folklore d'Alacant, performing from the City Hall square.
At 7:00 PM, the International Folklore Parade will commence. The route will pass through San Vicente street, Rambla de Méndez Núñez, and Rafael Altamira street, concluding at the City Hall square. The festivities will continue into the night at the 'barracas' and 'racós'.
