The Alicante City Council's Contracting Board has proposed awarding Eiffage Energía a 154,072 euro contract for the improvement of public lighting in various areas of district 4, including the installation of 35 new streetlights.

This initiative, with a three-month execution period, covers the coastal promenade of La Albufereta, Torres de la Huerta avenue, the dog park on Redes and Palangre streets in El Cabo, and Azafrán street in Vistahermosa.

"This is a global lighting improvement action in different areas of the city's District 4, which is included in the participatory budgets and aligned with our objectives of maintaining and improving infrastructure in all neighborhoods of Alicante."

Cristina García · Councillor for Infrastructure and Citizen Participation
On Torres de la Huerta avenue, which connects the neighborhoods of La Albufereta and Vistahermosa, the wiring for pedestrian and bike lane lighting will be replaced, and manholes will be sealed with anti-vandalism systems to prevent material theft.
The project also includes the installation of 15 new streetlights with solar technology on the coast of La Albufereta beach, using wooden materials to integrate harmoniously with the environment. Additionally, the dog park on Redes street at Palangre street, in El Cabo de las Huertas, will receive eight new streetlights, and Azafrán street, near the Orgegia wastewater treatment plant in Vistahermosa, will incorporate 12 additional solar streetlights for the more dispersed residential areas.
This tender, which had a base budget of 200,000 euros, has been preadjudicated for a lower amount, with Eiffage Energía as the winning proposal among the six companies that competed.
