The Vinaròs Town Hall has greenlit the new regulatory bases for subsidies aimed at clubs, sports entities, local athletes, and activities linked to the sports sector. The measure was approved last Friday during the Local Government Board meeting.
The Councilor for Sports, Luis Adell, highlighted the importance of this line of aid for the local sports community and its daily work. According to Adell, since the beginning of the term, efforts have been made to remodel, review, and modernize the previous bases.
The new bases introduce a division into three distinct sections, unlike the previous single regulation, aiming for greater organization, objectivity, and equity. Furthermore, they align with current sports regulations and include a significant increase in the overall economic funding, reaching €150,000. Aid for nautical activities, previously under a specific line, is now integrated into this general funding, making the increase for local sports even more substantial.
These bases were developed through consensus and the work of the technical commission, ensuring a fairer and more transparent distribution of funds. The pre-benjamin category has been removed, as the Municipal Sports Schools already cover this age group.
A key aspect is the reinforcement of women's sports. The new bases no longer differentiate between male and female when referring to federative licenses. Additionally, an extra 2% will be awarded in the scoring for complementary activities related to women's sports. The councilor reiterated the municipal commitment to equality in sports and encouraged women and girls to get involved in sports activities and clubs.
The bases were published in the Official Provincial Gazette on May 21st, and the application period closes on June 11th. More information can be found at esports.vinaros.es.
