This event, expected to gather over 1,500 attendees, is consolidating as the most important adapted marine sports event in Spain. Following the success of the 2025 edition, the day will offer 10 adapted sports disciplines for people with physical, organic, and intellectual disabilities, aiming to assert the right to enjoy the marine environment.
The La Mar Solidaria Association organizes this initiative, which will benefit COCEMFE Alicante and UPAPSA. More than 300 athletes with various disabilities will participate in activities such as dinghy sailing, diving, paddle surfing, and sand sports like karate and inclusive rugby. The philosophy is clear: the environment must adapt to the person, not the other way around, removing physical barriers and the lack of adapted resources that often limit access to the sea.
“"Our mission goes beyond sports; we work to ensure that inclusion ceases to be an aspiration and becomes a tangible reality. Seeing a person with reduced mobility ride the waves or dive into the Mediterranean is proof that, with the right support, there are no limits."
La Mar Solidaria, which began as a one-day event, is now an active association 365 days a year, working to ensure that the pride of families and the enthusiasm of participants break down any barriers. The event is made possible by the altruistic efforts of hundreds of volunteers and the support of committed sponsors such as Coca-Cola, Global Omnium, Atlántica Agrícola, and Heis Global, in addition to the constant support from the Alicante City Council.
The day will begin at 10:00h and culminate at 14:00h with a giant communal paella, inviting all citizens to come to the Club Náutico Costa Blanca in Alicante to be part of this wave of inclusion and overcoming.
