The project, with an execution period of three months, includes the installation of 35 new light points in areas such as the coastal promenade of La Albufereta, the avenue of Torres de la Huerta, the dog park on Redes and Palangre streets in El Cabo, and Azafrán street in Vistahermosa.
“"This is a comprehensive lighting improvement action in different areas of the city's District 4, which is included in the participatory budgets and aligned with our objectives of maintaining and improving infrastructure in all neighborhoods of Alicante."
On the avenue of Torres de la Huerta, which connects the neighborhoods of La Albufereta and Vistahermosa, the intervention involves replacing the wiring of the lighting for pedestrians and bike lanes, as well as anti-vandal sealing of the manholes to prevent theft of this material.
On the coast of La Albufereta beach, 15 new streetlights with solar power technology will be installed, using wooden materials to blend harmoniously with the neighborhood's environment. Additionally, the dog park located between Redes and Palangre streets, in Cabo de las Huertas, will have its lighting expanded with eight additional streetlights. Finally, Azafrán street, near the Orgegia wastewater treatment plant in Vistahermosa, will receive 12 new solar streetlights, suitable for areas with more dispersed residential elements.
This project, funded by the Participatory Budgets, was put out to tender with a base budget of 200,000 euros, with Eiffage Energía's offer being significantly lower at 154,072 euros. Five other companies also competed in the tender.
