The municipality of Faura, in Camp de Morvedre, is preparing to host the first edition of 'Ara Circ', a new contemporary circus and street arts festival that will transform its public spaces into improvised stages from May 8 to 10.

This initiative, promoted by the Faura City Council, represents a strong commitment to live culture and contemporary circus. For three days, the town will become a meeting point where gravity will be defied and stories will be told without words, seeking to move the audience.

"We want people to experience it up close, to feel the emotion and also that beautiful tension that circus has."

Consol Duran · Mayor of Faura
The mayor, Consol Duran, highlighted that the festival is not an isolated event, but the result of a deep conviction in the power of culture as a social engine. 'Ara Circ' seeks to consolidate the commitment to street arts, offering an experience that invites us to look at the world with curiosity and innocence.
To guarantee artistic quality, the City Council has partnered with La Troupe Malabó, a renowned Valencian company from Betxí with a trajectory since 1999. Under the artistic direction of Sergio Chaves and Marisa Ibáñez, the festival will adopt a philosophy where the clown becomes a tool for emotional resistance and human connection.
The style of La Troupe Malabó, which fuses humor, live music, acrobatics, and gestural theater, will define the program. This promises a balance between family shows and proposals with a visual poetic charge that will captivate the most demanding audiences. The festival's name and image, with a hand-drawn logo simulating artists in motion, reinforce the idea of community and the importance of the present.
Although the full program will be unveiled soon, the organization has already announced the participation of highly prestigious companies, including some nominated for the Max Awards, positioning Faura as a benchmark in performing arts. Consol Duran has invited the entire region to save the dates, ensuring that the festival will offer an unforgettable experience.
