This Wednesday's training session took place at the Martínez Valero stadium, where the Elche team continued their preparations for the regional derby. The return of John Chetauya, after overcoming physical issues, could be one of the main new additions to the squad list. Similarly, Héctor Fort is progressing in his recovery after undergoing shoulder surgery last December.
However, the team has faced several absences. Grady Diangana returned injured from his stint with the Democratic Republic of Congo national team and is awaiting the results of medical tests, which virtually rules out his participation in the match. Adam Boayar also remains sidelined due to physical problems.
The main absence at the start of the session was Marc Aguado, a key player in Elche CF's midfield, who performed specific work in the gym before joining his teammates for the final part of training. Furthermore, the team will be without their captain, Pedro Bigas, who will serve a one-match suspension after being sent off in the previous game against Rayo Vallecano in Vallecas.
