Aguas de Elche Consolidates Citizen Satisfaction in Water and Sanitation Service

A recent study reveals that overall satisfaction remains at 8 out of 10 points, highlighting the quality of supply and bill clarity.

Aguas de Elche has consolidated its results in key customer experience indicators during 2025, according to a study reflecting the trust of Elche citizens in the municipal water and sanitation service.

Overall satisfaction with water and sanitation services in Elche remains at 8 out of 10 points, consolidating achievements from previous years. 74% of surveyed citizens are satisfied, while only 26% rate it as acceptable. These results position the company as the most satisfactory among municipal services, on par with street cleaning.
The most highly valued aspects are the continuity of supply, with 8.93 points, and the water pressure in homes, with 7.81 points, reflecting the operational quality of the infrastructure. Bill clarity also stands out with 7.52 points, and 65% of customers understand all concepts and amounts.

Water quality scores 7.13 points, showing an improvement of +0.50 points compared to 2024. The taste of water also evolves positively with 6.36 points (+0.22 points).

This improved perception is reflected in an 11-point increase in the percentage of people who choose to drink tap water directly, reaching 19%. Regarding consumption habits, filtration is the most popular method (49%), followed by bottled water (32%). Aguas de Elche aims to promote tap water consumption as the most economical, sustainable, and trustworthy option.
Commitment to the environment and biodiversity leads social responsibility ratings with 7.62 points. This recognition is due to joint management with the Elche City Council in the Clot de Galvany Municipal Natural Park and the reuse of 100% of regenerated water for irrigation in the Palmeral de Elche and Camp d'Elx.
Additionally, assistance to people with economic difficulties (7.32 points) is highly valued. The mixed company allocates 450,000 euros annually for aid in paying water and sewage bills, and applies social tariffs for large families, single-parent families, pensioners, long-term unemployed, and victims of gender violence.
