The police operation began after a citizen reported witnessing two individuals stealing items from a parked vehicle in the municipality of Almoradí. Officers quickly responded to the scene and located the suspects nearby.
The detainees, aged 25 and 31, were already known to law enforcement due to their police records and lack of a known address. They are accused of seven forced break-ins into vehicles and one theft, all committed during the same early morning of February 21.
During a search of the area, officers found three large plastic bags containing numerous allegedly stolen items, including tools, clothing, footwear, electronic devices, sunglasses, and perfumes. This discovery led to an expansion of the police operation, resulting in the location of a total of eight vehicles with signs of forced entry in different parts of Almoradí.
Some of the recovered items have already been returned to their owners, while efforts continue to locate other affected parties. The investigation was completed with the analysis of security camera footage, which confirmed the involvement of the detainees in all the incidents. The proceedings, carried out by officers from the Almoradí Main Post and the Local Police, allowed the case to be closed quickly. The two detainees have been placed at the disposal of the Orihuela Court of Instruction Section, which has ordered their release with precautionary measures pending trial.
