Hundreds of residents marched through the town's streets in an act filled with respect, emotion, and solidarity. Numerous banners with messages of denunciation and awareness were displayed, such as 'Vicarious violence is also gender violence,' 'We want to live and be free,' or 'If they kill one of us, they kill us all,' accompanied by a unanimous cry of 'Enough!' against this social scourge.
The mayor of Dolores, Joaquín Hernández, participated in the demonstration alongside the Government's deputy delegate, Manuel Pineda, members of the municipal corporation, institutional representatives, and colleagues from other municipalities, who wished to show their support and solidarity with the family, friends, and the entire town of Dolores during these moments of deep sorrow.
The Dolores City Council has reiterated its firm commitment to continue working through institutional and social unity to combat any form of gender violence, as well as to defend a free, safe, and egalitarian society.
