This contract, published on the Public Sector Contracting Platform on April 30, includes the possibility of being extended for up to two more years, reaching 2028. The tender is divided into two lots: the first, with 60,331.81 euros, is allocated to the organization and technical coordination of official events, while the second, of 10,864.05 euros, covers institutional gifts and invitations.
The tender specifications detail that the contract covers all necessary services for the development of the events between July 1 and 25, 2026. These include technical production, sound, lighting, video projection, catering, decoration, auxiliary staff, music bands, pyrotechnic services, and graphic material.
Among the most relevant events to be organized are the reception of flag bearers and festival officials on July 14, the Public Exhibition of the Oriol on the facade of the City Council during the night of July 16, and the subsequent reception of the Síndico Portador at the María Moliner Library. The protocol acts for the Day of the Bird, celebrated on July 17, are also included.
For the Public Exhibition of the Oriol, a considerable technical deployment is required, including the installation of LED screens, projectors, architectural lighting of the municipal facade, and live streaming. Additionally, pyrotechnic effects and musical accompaniment will be included, and the municipal coats of arms, those of the Festivities Association, and the Moors and Christians comparsas will be projected onto the facade.
Regarding protocol and ambiance, the specifications include floral decoration for the City Council and the María Moliner Library, carpets for various institutional events, and a catering service for approximately 150 people during the reception of the Síndico, featuring typical sweets, cava, and cider. The distribution of slushies and water at different times during the festivities is also planned.
The tender also reserves a specific budget for protocol supplies, such as ceremonial staffs, silver and gold pins, commemorative plaques, and official invitations. Among these, the creation of a gold pin for the Moorish and Christian ambassadors and a pendant for the Armengola stands out. The successful bidder must guarantee adapted routes, reserved areas for people with reduced mobility, and an emergency and evacuation plan coordinated with the Local Police and municipal services, in addition to the installation of 22 portable toilets and six adapted ones during the festivities.
