The Orihuela Local Police have arrested a man in Oriola Costa following an aggressive pursuit in which the individual tested positive for cocaine and caused damage to a police vehicle.

Officers intercepted the vehicle thanks to a citizen report. During the stop, the driver attempted to identify himself using another person's documents, but subsequent tests confirmed he had consumed illegal substances. Furthermore, it was verified that the man lacked a driver's license and had multiple search and arrest warrants issued by various courts.
The situation escalated when the detainee displayed violent behavior. While being transported to a medical center, he broke the window and door frame of the moving patrol car in an attempt to escape on foot. After an intense pursuit through a residential area, officers managed to subdue him and secure his arrest.
As a result of the intervention, several officers sustained injuries. The detainee has been placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities to continue with the corresponding proceedings.
