The contract, aimed at boosting cultural offerings during the summer months, has a base budget of 40,794 euros for a two-year period. However, the tender includes the possibility of an additional one-year extension, which would raise the total investment to 59,513 euros. Interested companies have until June 30 to submit their proposals.
The schedule for 2026 will be divided between Muchavista Beach and Canalejas Square. Screenings will begin at 10:00 PM and will be shown in Spanish with English subtitles. The calendar sets sessions on Saturdays in July and August for the beach area, while the square will host screenings on Fridays and an additional Saturday in late August.
Regarding content, bidders must propose a catalog of 30 titles. The Department of Culture will be responsible for selecting the nine final films, prioritizing quality, variety, and family-friendly criteria. Films are required to have been awarded at festivals or have received critical acclaim.
The successful bidder will assume full responsibility for the service, including managing exhibition rights, providing technical resources, setting up and dismantling facilities, and hiring specialized personnel to ensure the smooth operation of the sessions.
