The Maestro Francisco Casanovas Tallardà residence is a publicly owned center directly managed by the Generalitat, which currently has 214 authorized residential places for the comprehensive care of elderly people in situations of dependency.
In addition to these works, the center has already incorporated significant improvements in technological equipment and digital tools. These innovations are aimed at cognitive stimulation, social connectivity, and more efficient care management. The center also actively participates in the implementation of the Comprehensive and Person-Centered Care Model promoted by the Generalitat.
Among the next planned developments is a pilot project for the Amaia Cuida tool. This digital solution is designed for professional work in residences and will allow for the creation of life stories, personalized care plans, and updated monitoring of each user.
Before visiting the residence, the minister held a meeting with the mayor of Torrevieja to address the municipality's needs in social services. According to the Generalitat, both administrations collaborate through a program contract, which funds municipal basic primary care staff and other services with 1.5 million euros, raising the total contribution to 4 million euros.
During the day, the minister also visited the headquarters of APANEE, where she learned about its early care center, autonomy school, and occupational center. She also toured the ADIEM day center, where the Ministry has invested over 700,000 euros.
