The city of Vinaròs was the scene of a citizen mobilization against current armed conflicts. The demonstration, which brought together around 400 people, began at 7:00 PM in Parroquial square and proceeded through several central streets of the municipality in a peaceful yet assertive atmosphere.
This initiative stems from the growing concern of citizens and local associations regarding the increase in global violence. Representatives from social associations, trade unions, various political groups, and residents from different towns in the Baix Maestrat region participated in the call.
Inspired by similar mobilizations held in other cities of the Comunitat Valenciana, the organization also launched a digital platform to facilitate the adherence of more groups to the manifesto. In total, nearly thirty associations supported the call, including feminist, environmentalist, LGTBI groups, and organizations in solidarity with Palestine.
Participants agreed on the need to make visible society's rejection of armed conflicts and to demand a firm commitment to peace.
The mobilization concluded with the reading of a joint manifesto, which called on the international community to redouble diplomatic efforts and end wars, as well as to promote policies that guarantee social justice and human rights. The organizers emphasize their intention to keep citizen awareness alive and continue promoting initiatives in defense of peace.
