Ontinyent Student Excels in Science Olympiads, Set to Compete in Brazil

An Ontinyent student, Marc Senabre Sanz, has achieved double success in national science olympiads, winning gold in Physics and bronze in Mathematics, which will allow him to compete in Brazil.

Marc Senabre Sanz, a 2nd-year Baccalaureate student from IES Pou Clar in Ontinyent, has excelled in major state scientific competitions. First, he won a bronze medal in the national phase of the LXII Spanish Mathematical Olympiad, held from March 12 to 15 in Las Rozas (Madrid). Then, last weekend, he secured a gold medal in the XXXVII Spanish Physics Olympiad, which took place from April 10 to 13 in Zaragoza.
This latest achievement opens doors for Marc Senabre to compete in international tournaments, as he will be part of the Spanish team in the upcoming Ibero-American Physics Olympiad, to be held in Brazil. His trajectory in these competitions demonstrates sustained progress based on effort and excellence.
In mathematics, last year he already qualified for the national phase held in Melilla after achieving first place in the regional, provincial, and autonomous phases. In 1st year of Baccalaureate, he secured third place in the provincial phase in Valencia. Regarding Physics, last year he also obtained third place at the provincial level, consolidating his progress this year with the gold medal at the state level.
