The Ontinyent City Council has launched a survey aimed at young people aged between 12 and 30 to gather their concerns and proposals, with the goal of designing the municipality's future Second Youth Plan.

This initiative, supported by the University of Alicante, seeks to adapt municipal policies to the real needs of young people. The Youth Councilor, Àlex Borrell, emphasized the importance of placing young people at the center of decision-making, ensuring that their contributions will form the basis for the new plan.

"The aim is to build the future Second Youth Plan based on the direct contributions of its beneficiaries, listening to both their concerns and proposals for improvement."

The anonymous and voluntary form is structured into different thematic blocks according to the participants' age. Young people aged 12 to 17 answer questions related to leisure, youth spaces, and personal well-being. For the 18 to 22 age group, the survey focuses on training, job placement, and interaction with local administration. Finally, for the 23 to 30 age bracket, issues such as emancipation, housing, and work-life balance are addressed.
To ensure wide dissemination, the municipal department collaborates with youth correspondents, a group of young people involved in local activity promotion who will help spread the survey within their networks. Additionally, the initiative will be promoted through municipal digital channels. The council stresses the importance of participation in defining future actions aimed at youth.
In parallel, the councilor has maintained contact with the Local Youth Council to reinforce its continuity. The intention is for the entity to remain active at least until 2027, while working on incorporating new members to ensure generational succession.
