The Ontinyent City Council has opened a new 3,600 square meter parking area in the Sant Josep neighborhood, located near Albaida Avenue and the Martínez Valls commercial zone, providing 150 new spaces.

This action has enabled the creation of 150 new parking spaces on a plot of land donated by the Tormo and Llin families. The municipal intervention involved an investment of 50,000 euros, as reported by the council in a statement.
The councilors for Territory, Óscar Borrell, and for Municipal Services, Jordi Vallés, visited the new parking lot this Wednesday to inspect the results of the adaptation works and its commissioning. The new space is approximately 120 meters from the main commercial area of Martínez Valls Avenue, thereby enhancing parking options in one of the city's busiest commercial areas.

"The launch of this parking lot responds to the municipal will to continue expanding the offer of parking in strategic points of the city, a plan that seeks to organize parking and facilitate that residents and visitors have spaces to leave their vehicles."

Furthermore, Borrell added that the municipal government continues to work on new actions that will further expand the available spaces. He recalled that this initial pool of 150 spaces will be complemented in the future by another large parking area of 175 spaces near the Plaza de la Concepción, on a plot of more than 6,600 square meters on Camí Vell de Xàtiva street.

"In recent years, thousands of parking spaces have been enabled throughout the city, many of them in areas close to public facilities, educational zones, or commercial areas, with the aim of improving mobility and facilitating the daily lives of residents. to park comfortably and to be able to access the heart of the city comfortably and easily on foot."
