The Pla Obert, the main investment program of the provincial corporation, has allocated a total of 809,000 euros to Montitxelvo, a town of 558 inhabitants. This amount represents 152,000 euros more than in the previous period, from 2019 to 2023, and aims to boost local development.
The covering of the fronton court is the main action proposed by Montitxelvo within the Pla Obert. According to the municipal official, this work is "essential for the town," as it will provide a covered space for a wide variety of events, from patron saint festivities to Moors and Christians celebrations, the Pansa, band concerts, and sports activities.
“"We appreciate the vice-president's knowledge of the small towns in our region and their needs. The Provincial Council's good management in listening to us and making our projects a reality is fundamental."
The vice-president highlighted the uniqueness of the work, designed by a Valencian company and an entrepreneur from the region. She emphasized that the fronton court cover in Montitxelvo is an "example of what the Pla Obert means for small municipalities that could not undertake investments of this magnitude without a four-year program that offers them resources for their projects and time to execute them."
In addition to the cover, Montitxelvo has other projects underway or already completed within the framework of the Pla Obert of the Provincial Council. These include the consolidation of the Arcà bridge (with an investment of 122,000 euros), the renovation of the drinking water network pipes in various sections of Avenida Constitución (100,000 euros), and the construction of niches in the cemetery (50,000 euros). At the regional level, Vall d'Albaida has been allocated 33.8 million euros in the Pla Obert, which is 5.6 million more than with the investment plans of the previous legislature.
