Turisme Comunitat Valenciana's Creaturisme program has presented the results of a study highlighting nautical tourism as an economic driver in the province of Valencia, with high visitor satisfaction and spending.

The 'Nautical Tourist and Excursionist Demand Study 2025', conducted by Turisme Comunitat Valenciana through the Creaturisme program, underscores the fundamental role of marine tourism for the province of Valencia. According to the report, two out of every three visitors choosing Valencia as a holiday destination state that the possibility of engaging in nautical activities was a decisive factor in their choice.
Valencian maritime destinations have received an average rating of 8.6 out of 10, with a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 63.3%. These results position Valencia favorably against other Mediterranean competitors. Visitor loyalty is attributed to the favorable climate, the beauty and safety of the beaches, and accumulated experience from previous visits.
The study profiles a premium category tourist, with a high daily spending of 129.9 euros per person, a figure that increases for international visitors. Furthermore, one in three tourists stays for more than two weeks, which promotes de-seasonality and generates a prolonged economic impact. 41.8% of nautical activity users are foreign, mainly from France, the United Kingdom, and Italy. The average profile is a person aged 43.7 years with a high educational level (61.4% with university studies).
The attributes most valued by users include safety, calm waters, local gastronomy, and the quality of port infrastructure. The study identifies three main visitor segments: the 'purely nautical' (50.2%), the 'buyer' (37.4%), and the 'active', who combines marine sports with the cultural, commercial, and gastronomic offerings of the city and its coastal municipalities.
With this document, Tourism aims to provide tools to companies, maritime schools, and nautical clubs to adapt their offerings and strengthen Valencia's competitiveness on the international nautical map.
