The education strike has registered up to 100% participation in some centers in Ontinyent, with a regional teachers' assembly coordinating an event at the City Council and filling three buses for the demonstration in València.

The education sector has initiated a strike after weeks of announcements and a lack of agreement with the Conselleria (Regional Ministry). This situation has led to a massive mobilization across the province, with Ontinyent being the focal point in Vall d'Albaida.
The regional assembly of teachers organized an event at 9 AM at the City Council, which was attended by approximately 500 people, according to the organizers. During the event, a teacher read a manifesto emphasizing the importance of the mobilization.

"Today we are going on an indefinite strike. It has been 38 years - since 1988 - since teachers stood up and indefinitely stopped classes against an Administration that cuts, abuses, and redistributes everyone's resources according to its unfair and self-serving criteria."

The manifesto also highlights that the collective has formed assemblies in schools and regions, debating and deciding on actions. A network of power has been established from each center, supporting unions and demanding firmness in negotiating their demands.
A spokesperson for the regional teachers' assembly of Vall d'Albaida confirmed that about 200 teachers are heading to València in three full buses. She added that the intention is for the Consellera to sit down and negotiate, and that the mobilization is not about money but about dignified working conditions.

"Now we are on our way to València, we are about 200 people, the three buses are full. What we are doing is not for money but for dignified working conditions. Here there are teachers from all levels."
