The meeting, the result of months of preparation, aimed to establish strong links between both entities and their respective territorial realities. Activities began on Saturday morning with a joint excursion to the Montsant mountain range, where members of La Safor were able to experience this emblematic landscape firsthand, guided by their colleagues from the CEP.
In the afternoon, attention focused on the cultural sphere with the presentation of the books Nosaltres, les muntanyes. El llibre de les muntanyes del País Valencià and El llibre de les muntanyes catalanes. Grimpa-les!. Josep Villarroya, co-author of the first title, was in charge of the presentation, which served to reflect on shared natural heritage and the importance of hiking literature in our language. The day concluded with a fraternity dinner, a moment of celebration where gifts were exchanged and the commitment to future collaboration was reaffirmed.
On Sunday, the program continued with an excursion to La Mola de Colldejou and the hermitage of Sant Gregori, areas of great natural value for the region. To close the weekend, attendees enjoyed a theatrical visit to the Celler Cooperatiu de Falset, a cultural proposal that ended with a wine tasting, highlighting the excellent oenological heritage of Priorat.
From the board of directors of the Societat Excursionista de la Safor, we wish to express our sincere gratitude to the Club Excursionista Priorat for their welcome and for the excellent organization of these days. The sisterhood opens a new stage of collaboration, and from the SES we already hope to be able to receive them soon in our region to show them our mountains.
