“"The documentary we are presenting is a collective treasure. A work that gathers the voice of older people, those who have lived, built, and transmitted, often silently, our intangible heritage: the words, traditions, experiences, customs, and way of understanding life that defines us as a community."

The Cine de Ròtova hosts this Saturday, May 9, the premiere of Scriptum fabulis (Unwritten Stories), a documentary that recovers the oral memory of the town through the experiences of twelve elderly people.
The screening, which will begin at 5:00 PM, is part of the program for Elderly Week. The script and direction are by Joan Montaner, with Juan Reig Peiró as director of photography and Llorkaprod for editing.
The documentary offers a testimonial account that contributes to understanding the past and reflecting on the future. Through the voices of twelve residents, various themes are addressed, such as life around the palace, the barbershop, agriculture, school, cinema, weddings, leisure, the post-war period, the telephone exchange, the Sant Jeroni convent, religious devotion, and the work of raisin production.
The presentation of the documentary is one of many activities organized during Elderly Week, which includes talks, performances, and recreational activities. These initiatives are the result of collaboration between the Association of Retirees and Pensioners of Ròtova and the local council.
