Athlete Reyes Moreno, from CA Gandia Alpesa, joins the Comunitat Valenciana team to compete in the Spanish Trail Running Championship in Oviedo, a crucial event offering four spots for the upcoming European Off-Road Championship in Ljubljana.

This Sunday, April 12, the city of Oviedo will host the eighth edition of the Spanish Trail Running Championship for Autonomous Federations, which includes Absolute, U23, and Promotion categories. The competition is an opportunity for athletes to demonstrate their performance and aim for European qualification.
Reyes Moreno, a prominent athlete from the Gandia club, will be part of the senior women's team of the Comunitat Valenciana, which is defending the title won last year. Moreno arrives at the event in excellent form, having won the Gandia Vertical Kilometer and leading the trail league in the Comunitat Valenciana.
The Valencian team will feature renowned figures such as Júlia Font and María Fuentes, world team champions, accompanied by Pilar Rubio and Vanessa Romero, forming a high-level selection. The senior race will start at 10:00 AM and will cover a distance of 22 kilometers with a positive elevation gain of 1200 meters.
The final classification for autonomous federations will be determined by the sum of the times of the first three runners from each team. In addition to national titles, the championship has an extra incentive: spots for the European Off-Road Championship, which will take place next June in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Oviedo, therefore, will be key in shaping the Spanish athletics team.
