The Valencia Provincial Council has given the green light to nine projects submitted by eight municipalities in the La Safor region, within the framework of the Open Plan, the corporation's investment program. The total contribution amounts to 1,653,000 euros, of which 34.4 million are allocated to the region for this legislative term. These investments are coordinated by Vice President Natàlia Enguix.
The project with the largest provincial contribution is the renovation of a municipal warehouse to convert it into the socio-sports pavilion of L'Alqueria de la Comtessa, with an investment of 553,000 euros. Other notable projects include the renovation of the music school in Miramar (434,000 euros) and the improvement of the sanitation and rainwater networks in the industrial land of Xeresa (195,000 euros).
The creation of green areas in the Passeig Bolognetta in Palma de Gandia is also planned, which will also acquire a plot for a future social center to house the nursery school and a classroom for seniors. The June decree of the Open Plan also includes the improvement of accessibility on Carrer Caseta in Beniflà, the renovation of children's games and pavements in parks in Tavernes de la Valldigna, the electricity supply to the viewpoint of the Parc de l'Ullal in Guardamar de la Safor, and the renovation of computer equipment in Real de Gandia.
The Open Plan, with a four-year budget of 350 million euros, has so far approved 1,183 projects for a total value of 184 million. Vice President Natàlia Enguix highlighted the pace of application submissions and the responsibility of the municipalities in selecting actions, many of which are aimed at renewing the integral water cycle and improving green and sports spaces.
Enguix explained that for this year, an allocation of over 100 million euros has been approved, with the aim of approving a monthly decree to facilitate the execution of projects. The president of the Provincial Council, Vicent Mompó, expressed his satisfaction with the Provincial Council's presence in the daily lives of the municipalities, improving squares, streets, green areas, and sports facilities.
