The Miramar City Council has organized a special program to commemorate International LGTBIQ+ Pride Day during June, aiming to promote diversity and foster respect.

The Miramar City Council, through its Equality Department and in collaboration with the Safor Collective of Lesbians, Gays, Transsexuals, and Bisexuals (CLGS), has prepared a series of activities to celebrate International LGTBIQ+ Pride Day on June 28th. The objective is to promote affective, sexual, and gender diversity, as well as to foster respect and coexistence towards a more egalitarian society.
The program will begin on June 19th with the inauguration of the interactive exhibition “NuesTrans Vidas Importan,” a showcase by the Trans Association of Andalusia – Sylvia Rivera. This exhibition will be available at the Municipal Library until July 5th. The opening event, at 6:00 PM, will include a presentation and a reception open to all citizens.
Subsequently, on June 26th at 8:00 PM, the Plaça del Riuet will host the Commemorative Day of International LGTBIQ+ Pride. This fun and awareness-raising event will feature educational workshops, a musical bingo, a drag queen show, a DJ set, and the reading of an institutional manifesto.
The City Council emphasizes its commitment to defending human rights and equality, as well as its collaboration with CLGS, a leading entity in the Safor region for promoting diversity. Through this initiative, Miramar joins the commemoration of Pride Month.
