The event, scheduled for 7:30 PM, will feature a conversation with the cycle's curator, Àngels Gregori, under the title “The Responsibility with the Word.” This session will address current issues such as the need to restore democracy, the progressive dismantling of the welfare state, and ethical responsibility in public life.

García Montero, considered one of the most relevant voices in contemporary poetry and thought in the Hispanic world, has an extensive literary and academic career. He is a professor of Spanish Literature at the University of Granada and author of works such as Habitaciones separadas, Completamente viernes, Vista cansada, and Un año y tres meses. In narrative, notable titles include Mañana no será lo que Dios quiera and his recent novel La mejor edad.
Since 2018, he has directed the Cervantes Institute, promoting the international projection of Spanish as a space for cultural dialogue. Throughout his career, he has received accolades such as the Loewe Prize, the National Poetry Prize, and the Carlos Fuentes International Prize, in addition to institutional distinctions.
The 'Gandia Pensa' cycle has established itself as a reference point for public debate and critical thinking. Launched in May 2025, it has brought together prominent figures in its various editions, fostering reflection on democracy, culture, science, and society.
