The event gathered academics, researchers, and specialists from various parts of the Valencian Community. The inaugural ceremony was presided over by the deputy mayor of Onda, Vicent Bou, who thanked the academy for choosing Onda as the venue and highlighted the importance of these disciplines for preserving collective memory. "Our identity, our traditions, our heritage, our culture, and our values are not the result of chance; they are the outcome of the history that unites us and the generations that preceded us," stated Bou.
Bou emphasized that Onda, with its rich historical and monumental legacy, is a particularly suitable setting for such conferences. He recalled that the city preserves valuable heritage reflecting centuries of history, which remains a fundamental element of the municipality's identity.
He also stressed the importance of promoting initiatives that bring historical knowledge closer to citizens and contribute to preserving Valencian cultural roots. "Caring for our past is the best way to strongly project our future," he affirmed.
