Following their appointment by the Fallas Federation, the two young women marked their first official act with a reception at Gandia City Hall. The event was led by Mayor José Manuel Prieto, accompanied by the Councillor for Fallas, Adrià Vila, and other members of the municipal corporation. Their families, the Federation President, Francesc Martínez, and Fallas leaders were also present.
The Mayor presented the new Fallas Queens with two dolls of the traditional Tio de la Porra. In his speech, Prieto welcomed and congratulated Marín and Jordà on behalf of the city, highlighting that the year they are beginning is a "gift from Gandia to them and from them to the city".
Prieto emphasized the involvement of both in their respective committees. He recalled the long trajectory of Lidia Marín in the Sagrada Família Corea commission, with special dedication to the artistic aspects, and that of Valentina Jordà, who was the child queen of the Carrera Major i Passeig Fallas committee.
The Mayor anticipates that both will experience their year with "enthusiasm and passion," assuring that "they will be two great Fallas Queens of Gandia worthy of the position and the Fallas festivities".
“"I have a lot of enthusiasm and desire to start and give my all for our festival. All the events excite me because I will experience them differently. We are the image of Gandia's Fallas, and that always comes first."
The Fallas Queen, Lidia Marín Marzal, expressed her satisfaction and enthusiasm for taking on the role, placing special emphasis on the Offering ceremony. Meanwhile, Valentina Jordà Micó conveyed her joy and that of her family, pointing to the Crida (Proclamation) as her favorite event.
The event concluded with the two Fallas Queens appearing on the balcony of the city hall building, experiencing the sensation of being in the place from which they will address the Fallas participants of the city.
