“"There is still great potential for improvement in existing sectors, as well as the development or completion of other new sectors. Therefore, we have launched this campaign that will allow anyone who wishes to support the initiative to find a way to do so."

The Safor Mountaineering Society has launched a fundraising campaign to improve climbing areas in the Falconera mountain range of Marxuquera, within the municipality of Gandia, aiming to equip new routes and re-equip existing ones.
This initiative seeks to guarantee the safety of climbers and expand options for practicing this sport in the region. Since its founding in 2024, the Safor Mountaineering Society (SES) has shown continuous concern for the condition of climbing routes.
Over recent years, a group of SES climbers has altruistically carried out equipping and re-equipping tasks, using personal resources, in the Falconera mountain range sectors. Between 100 and 120 interventions have been completed, in the form of climbing routes and equipped itineraries.
The funds raised will be allocated to three main areas: equipping new sectors, re-equipping existing sectors where safety has been compromised by anchor deterioration, and improving approach paths to these areas. The organization expresses gratitude for participation in this initiative, which will allow for safer and more sustainable climbing.
