The athletic event, planned for the next five years, will start and finish in Miramar on February 28, 2027. The agreement between the five participating town councils aims to establish this half marathon (21.097 km) and its 5 km popular race as a benchmark event in the Valencian athletic calendar.
The initiative, driven by the Miramar Fent Cames Athletics Club, seeks to highlight the territory, landscape, and tourist offerings of the involved municipalities, strengthening their shared identity year after year.
Although not part of the Safor-Valldigna Popular Races Circuit, the organization has emphasized the support from this entity, a leader in popular athletics in the region.
All for Pau
The Half Marathon has a clear solidarity purpose, linked to raising awareness and supporting research for Angelman syndrome, a rare neurogenetic disorder. The project is particularly inspired by the story of Pau, a child from Bellreguard diagnosed with this syndrome, who becomes the symbol of a cause aiming to unite institutions, companies, and citizens to improve the quality of life for those affected.
The organization has already begun contacting companies from the region and the autonomous community, receiving expressions of interest to collaborate as sponsors and build a broad support network.
