The Gandia Department of Heritage and the Archaeological Museum (MAGa) organized a special International Museum Day event that attracted over 150 participants, who gained access to unique historic spaces.

The capital of La Safor celebrated International Museum Day with a large turnout at the Archaeological Museum of Gandia (MAGa). More than 150 people took part in the various activities organized throughout the morning, demonstrating public interest in local heritage.
The event, promoted under the slogan “Museums uniting a divided world,” offered a unique exploration of the city's historical heritage. The tour began at the Mirador dels Borja (Serpis) and included access to the MAGa through an area usually closed to the public: the only preserved gate of Gandia's ancient walls.

"The high participation demonstrates citizens' interest in knowing and rediscovering our heritage. When we open heritage sites to people and make them accessible and participatory, the response is always very positive."

The initiative combined education, heritage, and citizen participation, featuring workshops and activities designed for all audiences, culminating in a visit to the Archaeological Museum of Gandia.
