The city of Gandia recently served as the meeting point for the Valencian U17 weightlifting team's training camp, bringing together nearly 30 young talents at the Municipal Weightlifting Pavilion.

This important event on the regional calendar took place at the Gandia Municipal Weightlifting Pavilion, solidifying the town's position as a benchmark in this sport. The camp gathered around thirty promising young weightlifters from the Valencian Community.
The local club, Atlético Club Gandia Halterofilia, had a notable representation with five of its athletes: Alexandra Figueroa, Kaili Méndez, Yuna López, Javier Zambrano, and Elena Moreno. This participation highlights the excellent foundational work the club has developed in recent seasons.
In addition to the athletes, the coaching staff for the camp also included local presence. María Dolores Martínez, the club's coach, participated alongside Manuel Martínez, a technician from the Valencian Federation. This dual presence reinforces Gandia's recognition as one of the key centers for weightlifting at the regional level.
The hosting of this event once again places Gandia on the map of Valencian weightlifting, showcasing its facilities and sports structure as an ideal environment for the development of new talents in this discipline.
