Gandia's beach is set to welcome a new gastronomic and leisure market soon, a municipal initiative designed to revitalize the area and extend tourist activity beyond the peak season.

The project plans to establish a multi-purpose space on a municipal plot next to the Parc del Clot de la Mota, featuring dining, cultural activities, and entertainment. It will also incorporate the operation of the kiosk-bar in Plaça de l’Aigua.
The Gandia City Council has already begun the process to award this project through an open tender for interested companies. The authorization will initially last for one year, with the possibility of extension.
According to councilor Jesús Naveiro, the tender specifications will prioritize proposals that include traditional shows, children's programming, and the participation of artists and collectives from La Safor, as well as initiatives linked to Valencian culture. "With this initiative, we aim to create a vibrant, attractive space designed for both residents and visitors," the councilor stated.
A key objective is to extend the operating calendar to maintain activity year-round. "We believe this proposal will help make the beach and El Grau more dynamic spaces, with greater economic opportunities and increased activity throughout the year," added Naveiro.
