The main event of this celebration took place in the Plaça Major, where one of the most multitudinous public readings of the day was held. The initiative was attended by municipal representatives, highlighting educational and cultural participation as a fundamental axis of the commemoration.
This activity is part of the program promoted by the IMAB for Book Day, which began last Monday and will continue until Saturday, offering proposals for all audiences.
The program continues this afternoon with the family show Mr Fem and the lost kisses, scheduled for 5:30 PM at the children's library. It also includes the intergenerational workshop Ex-libris (stamp engraving), at the Josep Piera de Beniopa Library, aimed at participants aged 10 to 100, with prior registration.
Additionally, the Central Library hosts a literary bingo for adults, a recreational activity where numbers are replaced by book titles and prizes will be awarded.
The program will conclude on Friday, April 24, with the presentation of the book Els moriscos dels Borja a la Vall d’Albaida: terra, vassalls i senyors a la baronia de Castelló de Rugat. Saturday, April 25, will be dedicated to children's literature with the presentation of Paco Bancal and the lost treasure, at the children's library.
